Bank of America sues Sedano’s CEO, former U.S. Century Bank directors

Bank of America filed a lawsuit against three former directors of U.S. Century Bank, two of whom are executives at Sedano’s Supermarkets, over a land loan in Florida City.
BofA (NYSE: BAC) filed the lawsuit on May 13 in federal court in Miami against GREC Homes IX LLC, Agustin Herran, Rosiel Herran, Armando Guerra, Maria C. Guerra, Manuel Herran, Nyria Herran, Emiliano Herran and Mirian Herran. It seeks to enforce personal guarantees on a mortgage with $17.4 million in principal outstanding.

WellCare names David Gallitano to top board post

The board of directors of WellCare Health Plans Inc. elected David Gallitano as chairman.
Gallitano, a WellCare director since 2009, succeeds Charles Berg, who stepped down from the board at the end of today’s annual shareholders’ meeting.
Gallitano has been president of Tucker Advisors Inc., a private investment firm, since 2002.
Gallitano’s operational experience and financial expertise have helped shape WellCare strategies, Alec Cunningham, CEO, said in a statement.

FDOT meeting again on I-4 project finalists

The four finalists selected May 21 for the I-4 Ultimate Project are going to have to wait two weeks to be called finalists.
The Florida Department of Transportation is holding another meeting June 5 to choose the four teams because the state agency did not grant a request to record the May 21 meeting.
Most government meetings are recorded to maintain a verbal record of a meeting.

SeaWorld sees 12% increase in revenue in 1Q

SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. reported a 12 percent increase in revenue during the first three months of 2013.
The Orlando-based, 11-parks theme park operator (NYSE: SEAS) earned $238.6 million in combined admission and food, merchandise and other services sales, up from $212.4 million reported for the same period last year, said its recent earnings report.
The park generated $152.4 million in admission sales, up 14 percent from $133.2 million earned for the first three months in 2012.
