Fodder & Shine forced to delay opening date a week

12/19/2014 - Gonna have to wait a week for that "cracker cuisine." Fodder & Shine, the new concept owned by the founders of The Refinery, was scheduled to open Friday — today — at 3 p.m., but that date has been pushed back to Dec. 26. "That [new] date is firm," said co-owner Michelle Baker, sounding cheerfully sanguine about the delay this afternoon. City completes new $9M traffic improvements on north I-Drive

12/19/2014 - North International Drive should run smoother – well, at least when the holidays end — now that the city has capped off work on improvements to alleviate the traffic congestion. On Dec. 18, the city held an event to commemorate the end of a $9 million transportation project started back in July 2013 that adds exclusive lanes for buses and right turns, new bike lanes, a 10-foot sidewalk and new streetscaping. Raleigh engineering firm S&ME to acquire Littlejohn

12/19/2014 - One of Raleigh, N.C.'s largest engineering consulting firms, S&ME Inc., announced that it will be acquiring the Littlejohn planning and design firm in a deal that will rank the combined company among the 100 largest design firms in the country. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the merger of operations between S&ME and Nashville-based Littlejohn will create a company with more than 1,100 employees at about 30 office locations, including its office in Orlando.
