Stonegate Bank earnings up 89%, loans grow

10/24/2014 - Stonegate Bank's earnings surged 89 percent in the third quarter as its loans grew by $22 million. The Pompano Beach-based bank (NASDAQ: SGBK) earned $3.6 million, up from $1.9 million in the second quarter. Its net interest income grew by $125,000 to reach $14.1 million, which helped improve its profitability. Tampa Bay Times: No comment on layoffs

10/24/2014 - The Tampa Bay Times is staying mum on the progress of the " cost-savings plan" it announced in September. 10/24/2014 - This year's second quarter was an active one for Central Florida's $1 million-plus home buyers. Orlando Business Journal's parent company collected data on the 20 most-expensive Central Florida homes that were recorded as selling in this year's second quarter. The top 20 homes, all of which were in Orange County, sold for a total of $57.3 million — an average of $2.9 million — with the highest-priced home sale notching $6.9 million. 10/24/2014 - It's time to take your final photos and say your goodbyes, as the iconic Mickey's sorcerer's hat at Disney's Hollywood Studios will be removed.
