7/29/2015 - Merger and acquisition activity in the Southeast United States in the first half of 2015 was the strongest it has been in eight years, with Florida taking a key role. There were 310 transactions totaling $59.1 billion in the seven states that make up the Southeast, a report from mergermarket said. Although there were 28 fewer deals, the value of those deals was up 36 percent compared to the first half of 2014.
