Former NFL player sent to prison for mortgage fraud

1/23/2015 - Jeffrey Charles Leroy Taylor, a former Tampa Bay Buccaneers player, was sentenced Friday to three years in prison for his part in a $7 million loan modification scheme that impacted thousands of homeowners. Taylor, 40, was also ordered to pay more than $350,000 in restitution to the victims of the fraud, which ran from 2008 to 2009. Developer to convert old Tampa Heights bottling plant to apartments

1/24/2015 - A developer is planning to reinvent an old brick bottling plant in Tampa Heights. Tampa-based Sight Real Estate said Saturday that it has closed on the Graham Bottling Co. at the corner of North Jefferson and East Plymouth streets in Tampa Heights. The company plans to convert the 46,000-square-foot building into a 22-unit apartment complex named The Bootlegger. Uber releases ride-share data in midst of Orlando's pending regulations

1/23/2015 - Ride-share company Uber released new data today that gives detailed stats on its drivers, showing that many of them prefer the company's current pricing and business model. But that model could change in Orlando if the approved ride-share regulations stand. Study: Women make better CEOs of larger companies

1/23/2015 - A new gender study released by Mintigo indicates that companies with more than 1,000 employees probably should hire a female CEO. That's because while male CEOs achieve higher revenue per employee in companies with up to 1,000 people, in larger companies, female CEOs achieve up to 18 percent higher revenue per employee than male CEOs. The Mintigo study looked at CEOs from companies with more than 100 employees or more than $50 million in revenue and then analyzed thousands of indicators for companies,…
